Located just a few blocks west of DePaul University, Music Industry Workshop is the area’s leading training and resource center for record producing, studio recording, digital music production, concert sound and lighting, music video production, DJ technology, and music business. 

Since 1997, MIW has offered comprehensive training and resources for aspiring artists, producers, and other individuals who wish to pursue a career, business, or hobby in todays music industry. 

Training programs and resources are available to the general public in the form of weekend workshops, certificate programs, seminars, on-site solutions, industry events, and other activities. Our award winning instructors include industry experts, successful business executives, and professors from both DePaul University and Columbia College. 

Our state-of-the-art facilities include world-class recording studios, digital production suites, and large conference rooms. These facilities are used by DePaul University and Columbia College to teach their own music production and recording classes.
