New and young DJ/Producer J Lektro, raised mostly on the southwest side of Chicago and partially in Europe, is known for his dirty, heavy bass likings and his twisting remixes. Being featured on local and international radio stations such as Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam and radio station in 2008, he continues to produce outstanding originals and remixes. Being a tekkie since near birth, J has been using a computer since he was a toddler and producing his own tracks since the age of 12. Also, after seeing live DJs have total control of the crowd and doing maneuvers,  is what made him want to become a DJ as well. J’s roots span many musical genres and eras of music in his family. One includes his grandfather Willie Mabon, a blues singer and pianist for Chess Records who had a record that topped the billboard charts in the 1950's. J Lektro is always looking to energize the crowd! He spins Mixes and DJs at parties locally, and he’s available for bookings ad collaborations. Contact him if you’re interested!
