Biography

Chris Cates is an artist, writer, producer who is constantly creating positive vibrations in the studio and on the road... With 27 albums written and recorded since childhood and producer/engineer for more than 100 artists Cates knows his true purpose... to create and inspire people through music.. With his band Chris Cates & the MasterPlan he explores all realms of rock, soul, country, funk, jazz etc.. based around his signature vocals, guitar, piano and harmonica work... Cates has performed all over the world entertaining people from all walks of life.
In Asheville, North Carolina at Cates's infamous production studio, Mealtime Brown Productions, Cates writes custom music for TV shows, Commercials, Weddings etc., and for artists needing the perfect song.. Recently two of Cates's songs were featured in the new DAMN! SHOW episodes..
Cates's latest and greatest album is now available.. The album is titled CHRIS CATES "Dead Man's Suit" is packed with large format radio songs based around Cates's blazing guitar...
